Where are you located?
I’m based in Elk Grove, California, and regularly serve the greater Sacramento region. Travel beyond 50 miles is absolutely possible — it just comes with a mileage fee (see Travel section below). Whether it’s downtown Sacramento, surrounding counties, or the Bay Area, I’m happy to bring Mad Lad Visuals to you.
How do I secure my date?
A signed agreement and a 25% non-refundable retainer are required to lock in your event date. The remaining balance is due no later than the calendar day before your event. Easy, simple, done.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check, electronic transfer, and all major credit cards (cards add a 4% processing fee). Returned checks are subject to a $100 fee.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — if set up in writing with due dates. Missed payments may incur a $50 late fee.
How much should I budget for coverage?
Most of my corporate clients invest between $1,400–$2,400 for half- to full-day coverage. Shorter events start at $750. Your exact investment depends on the size, duration, and scope of your event.
What’s included in your pricing?
Every event package includes:
  • Professional event coverage
  • Approx. 50–100 fully edited images (final number depends on event size and hours booked)
  • Editing & retouching on all delivered photos
  • Private online gallery for easy download and sharing
  • Delivery within 2 weeks (rush delivery available)
  • A commercial usage license for web, social, and internal marketing (extended licensing for advertising or print campaigns available as an add-on)
Do you provide RAW images?
Nope — RAW files are like uncooked ingredients. What you’ll receive are the fully prepared dishes: polished, edited images that are ready to use.
Do you offer revisions?
Editing style and final selections are at my discretion. If you’d like additional edits (like heavy retouching), I’m happy to quote them as an add-on.
How long do you store photos?
Backups are kept for 6 months after delivery. I recommend downloading your gallery and making your own backups (think computer + cloud) so you’re extra safe.
What is your cancellation policy?
The 25% retainer is non-refundable. If you cancel after additional payments, those may be retained as liquidated damages. If I ever have to cancel (rare, but life happens), I’ll do my best to find a replacement or refund all payments.
Can I reschedule my event?
Yes, rescheduling is possible subject to availability. Your retainer will apply to the new date.
What if my event runs late?
Coverage begins at the scheduled time. If things run over, no problem — I can keep shooting. Extra time is simply billed accordingly.
Do you travel?
Absolutely. Events more than 50 miles from Elk Grove are billed at the current IRS mileage rate + 50%. Overnight lodging may apply if required.
Will you personally photograph my event?
Most of the time, yes. On rare occasions I may assign one of my trained team photographers. They’re briefed on my style and standards so you’ll always get Mad Lad Visuals quality.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes — I carry business liability insurance and can provide proof if your venue requests it.
What if someone is disrespectful or unsafe?
My goal is to deliver great coverage in a safe, professional environment. If harassment or unsafe conditions occur, I may stop coverage — no refunds in such cases. Thankfully, most events are a joy to photograph!
