About us

Mad Lad Visuals is a Sacramento-area commercial photography studio serving businesses, organizations, and professional teams.

We create photography for marketing, events, products, and professional teams, helping businesses present themselves clearly and confidently through thoughtful visual work.

Mad Lad Visuals was built with a simple belief: small businesses deserve to be seen, supported, and valued — not just sold to.

We are a family-run, Christ-centered business rooted in our local community. We shop locally, we work locally, and we intentionally support other small businesses instead of large corporations whenever we can. Keeping money circulating within the community matters to us, because we believe strong communities are built by people showing up for one another.

Photography, for us, isn’t just about creating good images. It’s about showing the heart behind the work — the people, the effort, and the story that make a business what it is. Whether we’re photographing an event, a storefront, or the faces behind a brand, our goal is to create visuals that feel honest, respectful, and genuinely reflective of who you are.

Even if you’ve never worked with a photographer before, or you’re still growing and finding your footing, we believe you deserve professional visuals that represent your work well. We see ourselves not just as a service provider, but as a partner — someone who wants to help your business grow, not just take your money.

We’re part of this community, even if not everyone knows our name yet. And we’re here for the long run.

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve and strengthen local businesses and organizations through honest, thoughtful visual storytelling.

At Mad Lad Visuals, we work alongside small business owners, community groups, and event organizers to create photography (and soon, video and drone work) that supports their goals and reflects their values. We approach every project with care, integrity, and respect for the people and communities involved.

As our services grow, our purpose stays the same:
to build relationships, support local growth, and use our skills to contribute something meaningful to the community we’re a part of.

About Me

Hi, I’m Angelina. I’m a photographer and small business owner who believes good work starts with trust, showing up, and taking the time to understand the people behind what I’m photographing. My background includes sports photography, photojournalism, events, and commercial photography, with images featured in gallery exhibits, statewide competitions, and local news. I earned degrees in photography, communications, and business management at Cosumnes River College, where I was mentored by award-winning photographer Jim West, who helped guide me toward commercial photography and a thoughtful, people-first approach. During that time, I also worked as the sports photographer for Cosumnes River College athletics. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with other photographers to document corporate and community events throughout Elk Grove and the Sacramento area, including work with the City of Elk Grove, the Sacramento County Office of Education, Republic Services, and other local organizations.

My faith shapes how I approach my work—with integrity, care, and respect for the people I serve. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll often find me involved at a local community farm, where it’s definitely not just my hands that get dirty. I enjoy hands-on work and the rhythm of growing and building things alongside others. Those experiences shape the way I approach my work: valuing relationships over transactions, creativity over convenience, and community over everything else.

Hi, I’m Isaac. I’ve been into photography for about five years and graduated from the photography program at Cosumnes River College. I also had the opportunity to learn from photographer Jim West along the way. My start in photography was a little unusual since I picked up a camera in 2020, which meant a lot of learning happened online, experimenting, and figuring things out through trial and error.

What I enjoy most about photography is the freedom to create. I especially like working with products because I get to build the lighting and shape the scene until everything looks just right. It feels a bit like solving a puzzle with light.

Outside of photography, I’m usually on the hunt for a really good cup of crafted coffee, good BBQ, and good music. My playlists tend to bounce between artists like Slaughter to Prevail and NF, which might explain why I also enjoy photographing concerts. The energy of live music and the challenge of capturing it in the moment makes it one of my favorite things to shoot.

My work and life are also guided by my faith, which shapes how I approach the things I do and the people I work with.

At the end of the day, I enjoy creating good photos and being part of the work we do at Mad Lad Visuals.
